Dr. Mischa Grieder has recently joined SFPMG as a licensed naturopathic doctor. Dr. Grieder considers himself a family physician and welcomes anyone, regardless of age and condition. Among an array of treatments, Dr. Grieder utilizes immuno-enhancing protocols, IV chelations and bio-identical hormone therapies long offered at SFPMG. Environmental Medicine, which is concerned with the relationship of human health and the increasingly chemically burdened environment, is one of Dr. Grieder’s main fields of interest.

Dr. Grieder recognizes the human as a complex being, rooted in an intimate interaction of body, mind, spirit and environment. During consultation with patients, Dr. Grieder addresses all these aspects in order to uncover the causes of the disease. In a personal, individualized approach he develops a tailored treatment plan that draws from the wide range of well-established therapies prescribed by doctors at SFPMG in combination with cutting-edge discoveries, particularly from Swiss and German research.

Born and raised in a large and lively family on an organic farm near Zurich, Switzerland, Dr. Grieder was early on exposed to natural medicine and a holistic lifestyle. His philosophy of life was expanded by a Waldorf-School education and an open door policy at home where friends of diverse religious and spiritual backgrounds enriched the vivid dinner conversations.

Dr. Grieder’s Swiss background and connection, in combination with speaking fluent German, French and Spanish, allows him to investigate and draw from a wealth of European research, medical professionals and know-how in health care.

Dr. Grieder earned his doctorate at Bastyr University. He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Pre-Medicine with an emphasis in Biochemistry and Environmental Studies from Seattle University. He is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the California Naturopathic Doctors Association and the American Academy for Environmental Medicine.
